MyChart uses two-step verification to keep your account secure even if someone else has your username or password. After entering your login information, you receive an email or text message with a code to enter to log in to MyChart.
You can also use an authenticator app instead. An authenticator app is a phone app that generates a unique code every few seconds. You enter this code to verify your identity when you log in.
To change your verification method:
The next time you log in to MyChart, you receive a text message or email with a code to enter (if you selected Verify with email address) or you enter a code from your authenticator app (if you chose Verify with authenticator app).
If you are having trouble receiving emails or text messages, the email address or phone number on your account might be incorrect or outdated. Contact your healthcare organization's MyChart support desk to update it.
Two-step verification codes for MyChart Central are sent to the verified email address or phone number on file for your MyChart Central account. If you do not have a MyChart Central account, select Forgot login information? to recover your account.
