Message your care team in MyChart

If I send a MyChart message, when can I expect a reply?

Most healthcare organizations respond to MyChart messages within three business days, but each organization has their own policies around responding to MyChart messages. MyChart messages should be used for non-urgent medical questions.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency and need immediate attention, dial 911 or your local emergency services number, if you are located outside the United States.

To set up notifications to receive an email or text message when new MyChart messages are available:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Communication Preferences.
  2. Expand the Messages section.
  3. Select a notification option.
  4. If needed, update your email address and mobile phone number at the bottom of the page.
